Christmas Party

Hey there everyone, this week in youth we are having a hockey night in Canada themed Christmas party. So dress up in stuff that you would find at a hockey game. (player, commentator, ref, concessions, etc) Prizes for best dressed. Going to be awesome!! see you Wednesday, 7 PM @ the Hub.  

Small Groups

Senior youth --> This week is a small group week. We hang out as a mall group in our small groups. Meet @ the hub unless otherwise discussed with you by your leader. 7 PM - 9 PM!!!

Bible Study

We are going to be continuing our series on 'Making sense of the Old Testament'. We will be talking on the topic of the kings. DA Band will be playing, there will be snacks and I look forward to going through scripture with you all. See you on Wednesday, 7 PM @ the Hub. 

Bible Study

This week at youth, we are going to be having our first Bible Study of the season. There is going to be music, small groups, sharing, snack and of course studying the bible. See you Wednesday, 7 PM @ the hub!!!!

Kick-Off

Join us for some Slip'n'Slide Baseball at Lisa's house. Meet at the Hub at 6:20 p.m. Back around 9-9:30 p.m. You will get wet so bring a change of clothes and a towel. Fire and snacks afterwards. Bring a friend!! Going to be awesome!!!!

Mudfest

Last youth event of the year - MUDFEST!!!
Meet at the Hub at 6:30 p.m (the bus leaves @ 6:45). Bring a towel, a bag to put dirty clothes in, and a COMPLETE change of clothes. Prizes for best MUDFEST costume. Back around 9:30 p.m. See you on Wednesday!!!

Youth Tonight

Missionary From China - sharing

Hey there Y'all. we have a missionary that has been serving in China coming to share with us tomorrow. Del Canlas, will be sharing her story, and challenging us in God's word. It is going to be awesome and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow.  7 PM.

Swimming Night

Happy Spring Break.

We are Going to Steinbach Aquatic Centre for swimming. Bring $10 for swimming and extra $$ for food afterwards. Bring a towel and a quarter for a locker. Modest Swimwear please. Meet at 5:15 p.m., leaving at 5:30 p.m. SHARP! Back around 11 p.m.

Last of the Healthy Sexuality/Relationships study. 
Guest Speaker: Dallas Kornelson - from the crisis pregnancy centre
This is a community youth event.
Music with Da Band and snacks. Bring a friend!!
We will be at the EMM Church basement. 

mexico mission trip

Here is some info on the Mexico mission trip that will be happening this summer. We are getting applications in and we are getting excited. If you have been thinking about joining don’t hesitate and if you have questions call I would love to talk to you or your parents about this awesome opportunity. If you need an application, let me know.

Why Mexico (Acuna)

·         I learnt about this opportunity from a friend and I just love the intentionality of this organization. We will be working with the local church how will be doing follow up after we leave. We will be involved in VBS, Sports ministry, Church services, children’s ministry.

·         I trust the work they do.

·         There is so need in Mexico.

Leadership.

·         My youth leaders will be the chaperones, and the plan is that my wife will be coming as well. As well as I would be open to some parents coming.

Cost.

·         We are going to be raising $1000.00/person

·         $300.00 will be raised by the individual and this will be done by personal fundraiser, asking for support, and or paying self.

·         The rest will be covered by group fundraising and this church.

·         Cost will include travel, hotels, food, travel insurance.

Date.

·         July 10-21 - 2015

Travel

·         We are hiring a bus, it is a grey hound style bus.

Sleeping arrangement.

·         We will be staying in dormitory style buildings, at a church camp compound.

·         Guys and girls will be separate.

crokinole Tourney

Hey there everyone, we are having our annual bridging the gap crokinole tourney this Wednesday. We have 55+ and youth team up for an awesome time of crokinole. It is always fun, there is good food and prizes. 7 PM @ the EMMC church basement. Bring a friend and crokinole board if you have.

Youth Tonight - CHANGE

Due to it being kind of miserable outside, we will not be going to the hill tonight but will rather be meeting @ the EMMC Church basement. We will be playing games, having fun, and of course it wont be cold. SEE YOU AT 7 PM.
